Last Friday, over a thousand young participants, including elementary and high school students, gathered in Mrkonjić Grad for the 17th edition of the traditional Gospojinske Street Races, with Lykos Balkan Metals as the general sponsor.
The race, named "Good for My Town," once again demonstrated that collaboration is crucial for progress in all aspects of life and work. Students from neighboring municipalities such as Jezero and Šipovo also took part in the race.
Representing Lykos Balkan Metals and its subsidiary company SNK Metali at this event, which aims to promote healthy lifestyle habits among young people, was Petar Milanović. He presented awards alongside the Mayor of Mrkonjić Grad, Dragan Vođević.
"I am honored and pleased to participate in the award ceremony because I have been a participant in this race in previous years. By supporting the Gospojinske Street Races, as a socially responsible company, we encourage young people to adopt healthy habits, and we will always be available to support events that contribute to improving the quality of life for young people," Milanović stated.
Lykos Balkan Metals allocated 6,000 BAM for this event, and the winners in three categories (cicibani, elementary students, and high school students) received prizes, medals, and certificates. It was a celebration of camaraderie and sportsmanship organized by the Cultural-Sports Center "Petar Kočić" under the patronage of the Municipality of Mrkonjić Grad
